Musician and session drummer with over 16 years of experience on stages and in studios. An official artist of Sabian cymbals and Vater drumsticks.
Throughout my career, I have explored and mastered a wide range of genres, from Pop, Rock, and Mainstream to Indie, Soul, Neo-Soul, R&B, and Hip-Hop. I specialize in polyrhythms, odd and asymmetrical time signatures, and high-level sight-reading, all while maintaining a precise dynamic range and energy tailored to your music.
From the studio I designed, built, and equipped to my exact specifications, I record Hi-End sources using uncompromising top-tier gear and extensive recording experience.
With a deep understanding of the needs of the song, the producer, and the artist, I tailor the specific sound for each track, from the right feel and energy to ceiling height adjustments, drum and cymbal selection, head selection and tuning, and precise microphone placement.
My Studio
The studio was hand-built by me to meticulous standards, ensuring a professional and controlled environment.
The live room measures 20sqm with a 3.5m ceiling,
and is acoustically isolated from external noise.
The studio features an adjustable ceiling mounted acoustic cloud above the drum kit measuring 3.3×1.3×0.2m (weighing ~100kg), adjustable across its full range at the push of a button to a minimum height of 1.65m, and together with two movable acoustic panels allows precise control of drum ambience and decay.
All toms and floor toms are mounted on a Yamaha Hexrack (rather than on the kick drum or legs) to improve resonance and prevent vibration transfer. All microphones are placed on individual stands (rather than clips) to prevent vibrations.
